SF Fire CU looks wonderful. But there is no branch in Marin and San Mateo and which quarterly credit score do they offer?

You can bank at any co-op CU. They offer a true EX FICO04.
BofA here. Been with them since '98 and I've never even thought about their credit cards until myFICO told me to.
BofA, Wells & hoping to get in with NFCU.

I have accounts all over the place, mostly because I haven't closed the inactive ones yet, and some that are used only in specific situations/locations. Currently, my day-to-day expenses and bill pays are all handled through my checking account through Simple (www.simple.com), which is all online. They aren't so much a bank, as they are a frontend for the banking experience. My funds are held by Bancorp, but I have a lot of really cool features through Simple, that most other banks I've dealt with haven't come close to yet. My favorites are the no fees policy (they don't charge fees for most of the things you'd pay fees for at other banks, including foreign ATM fees, overdraft fees, wire transfer fees, etc.), and the innovative approach to money management. Think of an envelope system, but online. They also offer mobile banking, including check deposits through their mobile app. When I swipe my card, I receive a notification almost immediately on my phone through the mobile app, telling me where and how much my card was charged, and I can designate which "goal" that money is to be "spent from". If anyone has any questions about Simple, check out their website or shoot me a PM, I've had a fantastic experience with them, and would recommend them to anyone. They are relatively new and unknown, but everyone I know who has made the switch has been happier with Simple than any bank they've used in the past.
I have Ally Online Savings and IRA accounts. The Savings account earns 0.99%, while the IRA earns 2.00%. The online-only account is great for keeping my savings safe from impulse spending, as it takes some time to transfer money to a checking account at another bank (between 2-4 business days), and when I have instant access to my savings, I tend to spend foolishly. This arrangement saves me from myself, and I tend to keep more money in this account than I did when I had my checking and savings accounts at the same institution. Also, you'll never see better savings account interest rates at a Credit Union, at least I haven't.
I currently bank with a small credit union in my area. They have been great to me.
