alliant transfers

both my sister and I have alliant as our credit union. I just came across a function where I can add here and we can transfer funds to each other. How fast is the transfer and is it recommended to use this versus something like paypal? thanks!

Whenever I've done transfers to another Alliant member it was completed instantly; out of my account and in their account immediately.

Also, I've added a family member who is a member of a different credit union and if I complete the transfer by 12noon it's usually in their account the next day.  Just FYI.
