My 2 cents:
They're both good, with good products and rates.
Alliant is more impersonal, but has superior website and software.
I belong to both, and have no complaints about either.

I'd agree with the above.
If you have an outsized need to move money around between your depository accounts and other CUs or banks Alliant is IMO the better choice.
tyvm SouthJamaica and coldfusion!
Personally don't like Alliant. They never offer any prequals or anything and I've been with them for years. They constantly make changes to their credit cards that make me not really trust them for those either. Really just need to close those check and savings accounts.
I have been pretty happy with Affinity and have even thought about moving my checking over to them. Their credit card has been extremely generous with the rewards and is by far the most valuable card I have right now as the categories line up with my spend 2-3 quarters of the year and their bonus points stacking with the regular rate means I'm earning 6-7% on that spend.
This is a good question.
I belong to both and neither is my primary. I've found it far easier to transfer money into and out of Alliant as well as much easier to make payments to it. As was mentioned earlier, Alliant's website is far better and easier to use than Affinity's.
Each has good customer service and their interest rates on savings accounts are good.
I found getting set up to make payments to the Affinity card from an external account a little onerous initially but it's ok now that I've got them added to my bank's primary bill pay.
Affinity has a lot of options to keep informed on account activities.
Overall, I don't think that you could go wrong with either, but, I prefer Alliant.
