AFNI/T-mobile

I have been serching, and have not really found an answer. I have a CA (AFNI) on all 3 CR, but the OC is not on any of them. AFNI has an open date of 5/2007 but I have not had T-mobile in over 5 years, and to be honest, I am not sure If the acct was paid in full or if I still owed money. I have had verizon for about 5 years now. The last phone bill I ever remember going bad on was included in a BK back in 2000, could it have come from this?

I sent AFNI a DV letter a couple weeks ago, but my question is how can I tell when the DOFD was or if there even was one. Should the DV response have all this info (if I get one). AFNI did list the debt as disputed on my CR as of today.

Thanks taking the time to read this

Re: AFNI/T-mobile

Ignore their "open" date. That date is when they received the collection, whether from another CA or from T-mobile. Pull your reports directly from the CRA. On EX and TU, you'll see a drop off date. Take that date and subtract 7 years to get DOFD. You can pull your reports for free via annualcreditreport.com once a year.

Re: AFNI/T-mobile

I show 5/2011 on TU...3/2011 on EX, and DOFD on EQ is 6/2004
