Received a letter from AFNI saying they are going to submit to all the CRs to have the collections removed from them. I sent a debt validation about three weeks ago and received the letter today so tonight i will be getting letters ready to go out to TU, EQ, and EX to have them removed.

Just think I almost paid someone to clean my credit till I found this website and this forum. Thanks to you all I still have a hard row to hoe but I will get there.

If they already put the request in to the CRA for deletion...you don't have to send letter to the CRA's...just wait..if you send letters...you might put it in a dispute process...then it will be deleted much later than it was supposed to...gives the CRA's about a week to update on their own...make sure AFNI already put the request in to the CRA's...and make sure they are not waiting to their original reporting date...to report for them to delete...

I'd wait 30 days from date of letter before disputing with the CRA or you could end up waiting longer than you'd normally have to.

What type of collection did u have I have a verizion old collection? how did you get them to delete?

I sent them DV letter and they sent me a letter saying they would delete. Mine was Alltell and was 7 years old.

Was this account paid? We're still fighting with AFNI about an old Cingular bill we think is paid. They cannot verify or validate at all and refuse to delete!
