Amex and profile changes

Hey everyone, I had a quick question. My reports are cleaning up quite well. About 7 negatives removed between the three CRAs last month. That said an OC with a derog that they reported as an unpaid collection was removed from TU as unable to verify and substantially modified by EQ. This never showed on EX. The account is also past SOL.

OC is a shady business who often fails to verify accounts and gouges people. I was young and dumb and didn't go after the nonsense 5 years ago when this was fresh. In response to this they sent me a letter threatening to sell the account to collections. DV was already started.

My actual concern is that if a new CA shows up on my reports, even with substantial cleaning up, it could impact my accounts with Discover and/or Amex.

Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this?

I wouldnt worry too much about it especially if its been on your CR that they have received thru ARs every month.

Re: Amex and profile changes

It did show on TU for Discover but it wasn't on EX for Amex. At this point I'm thinking, if DV passes, that my best bet is to PFD and not risk it. Hopefully since they have very little leverage, other than selling it to a CA, I can get it resolved and deleted cheaply.
