i will be paying off around $3500 dollars through aarons this month just curious what others experiences were on how much that can help your credit score.
I didn't know they reported, only thought they reported if the furniture or whatever it may be does not get paid for.
I think it depends on the Aarons you use. Some of them do report only after the account has been paid and closed.
I don't think I have ever seen one that reports monthly. I used them and they did not.
How do they report once paid off? Do they show the amount and a zero balance. Just curious cause I am two payments away from paying off my washer and dryers. W/D itself was only $899 but the total amount I paid will be about $1700 over the last year. I was unaware that they even reported anything unless you didn't pay. I hate the places that don't report your monthly payments, but are all over you in a second if you miss one lol. I'm at a place now where I could probably get Home Depot financing if it came to it, but at the time my credit was bad and Aarons was the only option even though I paid twice what my W/D cost.
I know the Acceptance program does monthly reporting to all 3 CRA's. I opened an account with one 3 weeks before they changed their policy on reporting to the CRA;s.
I finally paid off my account. Called and asked if they could report it. They said no they couldn't but, If i wanted to have maybe a chance. To file a dispute with CRA's and if they sent them a letter they would be glad to report it.
