Okay so I'm backkkkkkk but this time not for me hahaha I've completed my rebuild and sitting at 806 on EX. This time it's for the wife. Her and I never talked about credit until the last two months when we wanted to look for a house and our lender did a soft pull and her credit wasn't where I thought it was. She had 9 accounts with missed payments and one collections (federal loan). I've already gotten Capone to remove 4 30 days late and one 60 on one account, one 30 day late on any other, student loan (180 days late) pulled out of collections and in good standing now without doing the loan rehab, BoA (30,60,90) and credit one (30,60,90). However there are still four account with the following baddies: CB INDIGO/CCI-30,60 in March and April of 2022, FIRST PREMIER BANK- 30 in October 2022 and another 30 in January 2023, JPMCB CARD- 30 April of 2020, merrick bank (only account that closed) 30,60,90,120,90 from April-aug of 2024.
I know obviously merrick is doing the most damage because of how past due it is and recent but asking if anyone has any advice, emails, connections or guidance on how to get in contact with anyone at the above 4 companies. Or have heard of anyone having any success with them using GW's. Or maybe if I should go about it another way. They don't seem to be responding to any kind of communication from us. Appreciate the assistance!
our goal is to buy a house by the end of next summer so we do have sometime to wait.
The lender is going to utilize the lowest score of the bunch to pull their information. Since your wifes score isn't up to par yet, I'd suggest to see what you can accomplish on your own merits, utilizing your own finances, and your own score - without her. It may work out to your own advantage.
There was a time and place where my wife and I held a mortgage together, and in the process of purchasing another home, it required us to hold the prior mortgage for some time yet. For whatever reasons I forget from that time, I utilized the power of my score and my income, to secure a second mortgage, all by myself and without her. We carried both mortgages for some time, before we cut lose the prior and sold off the home.
At the end of the day, it's all numbers on someones ledgers. If your score allows you the opportunity, you should use the opportunity.

Yeah which sucks becuase thats what we found out when we talked to the lender. Yeah we looked at the option as well and he gave me a rough number of what id qual by myself and trying to detmine if thats something we can do since it would be a our first home dont want to waste the assitatnace programs we qual for. Appricatie the reply but our goal is to prepare the credit and go in to it together hopefully. But if the timing doesn tline up with our deadline then we might revisit other options.
Congrats on the rebuild! I want to say thanks to all with forums I've read along the way post discharge chapter 13(Jan/2025). I thought i would share my current rebuild. I'm having early success just 2 months post discharge. My scores were 580s after finishing. I was approved for Cap1 QS-4k unsecured (burned for 10k) just 4 days after discharge. March/2025- FICO scores now 690s. During month 2, I was approved for US bank Sh cash 1k unsecured (not IIB/never had). Meanwhile, 8k parked at Chase - opened chk/svgs to regain relationship (burned for 10k). I will be allowed back in once BK falls off with rise or flex(spoke to mgr). Currently im still showing pre-approvals for WF, Amex(burned for 16k) and BOFA. Since WF and BOFA don't have credit rule they will be my 3rd and 4th to get. Chase will be my #5 at fall off in 12 months.
My 30 yr age history with student loans were added to file instead of paying off just 1500, i resorted to $22 monthly to last till 8/2027 ( jumped scores 40pts). Marathon with a 2nd wind!! Good luck to all
UPDATE: I finally got CB INDIGO/CCI-30,60 in March and April of 2022 to be removed from all three credit reports so only have 3 baddies left which are FIRST PREMIER BANK- 30 in October 2022 and another 30 in January 2023, JPMCB CARD- 30 April of 2020, merrick bank (only account that closed) 30,60,90,120,90 from April-aug of 2024. If anyone has any luck delaing with these 3 companies I'd greatly appreciate the assistance!

I just sent them a GW explaining the situation and they granted it. Sent them by email to the executive team there.
Hi, how did you get CB INDIGO/CCI to remove the late payments? What method of communication did you use to contact them ? I have a few late payments with them as well and Im trying to get them removed.

@M-castel Hi and Welcome back!
I'm sure you noticed @tcolesz12 posted this in April and hasn't been back since.
I would suggest sending them a private message because they may not see your post.🙂
