BBVA - Goodwill Deletions?

3 mortgage lates 9/18; 12/18 and 1/19. Hubby's primary client "switched to net 20" and generally started paying 60 days late and I never made much money so we decided to go where my career would fluorish and put the house on the market. That required money, which we didn't have in great supply so we were late. We called and talked to BBVA and they were nice, but didn't offer any guarantees of not reporting. Just, wait and see. Well they reported us. Three times. The house was sold and the mortgage paid off on 1/22. Any takers on whether/if we'd be candidates for GW deletion? The market we're in is a rental nightmare so it would be great if we could buy. My job pays very well and we'd be in the position to buy within a few months given the equity from the house.

Looking for anecdotal evidence, good contact information, and general ideas as to how/whether BBVA is generally amenable to these sorts of things. We are NOT disputing that it happened, though. It would just be great if they would GW at least the 2 recent ones. I am government so moving cross country + rent + morgage + furlough= 2 - 30 day lates.
