Bank of America Collection

All,

Need a good number to contact BofA regarding settlement of an old CO account. My CR does not list a valid phone number for this TL.

Thank you.

Here is a link to backdoor numbers.  Not sure the one you need is there but it's a start.  http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Backdoor-Numbers/m-p/408066

Re: Bank of America Collection

So, I called BofA Recovery Services today and offered to make a payment arrangement to settle the account in full.  They told me that they recently mailed me an IRS form which closes out the CO of the account.  The CSR said that BofA cannot accept a payment arrangement at this point and that if I wanted my CR updated, I would need to pay the account in full in one lump sum.

My questions is, if they already wrote off the $900 and sent me something that's considered "income", will I get punished twice by now paying them in full?  i.e., Pay the OC, then turn around and file the IRS form as income.

Thank you.

Anybody have input about my question above?  Thank you.
