Blaze Mastercard

I was reading about Blaze Mastercard. I see it has high annual fees and also high interest rate. Looks it will grow more than $300 Credit Limit Indigo card allows for their card holders. Also I beleive Blaze will waive or reduce the annual fees after having the card for a year. Did any of you had this card and what is your experience in dealing with them ? I am not planning on applying for it. Just curious about your experience dealing with this card.

Re: Blaze Mastercard

I had this card, regular credit line increases. I stated off at 300.00, got up to 1100 before Fing it up.

Charged off but it was never sold so I called them up and settled and paid about 50% of the total due.

I then disputed it and it came off my reports after about a month.

The card is just plain jane basic card but its not bad by any means just apr and all that but as a builder not bad.

May I ask, how long it took for them to give you CLI from $300 to $1100. After some time, did they waive the AF or reduce the interest rate on your card? From the reviews I read, their customer support is very good. How was your experience dealing with them?

Re: Blaze Mastercard

I started with $2,500 about 3 months post Chapter 7 discharge and it was increased to $3k about 3 months later.  When I cancelled it yesterday they told me they would be sending a $50 check refunding the annual fee they charged me last June.  IMO it is a great rebuilder card.

Thanks for your reply. May I ask why you decided to cancel the card ? What is it you did not like about it ?

Re: Blaze Mastercard

It was a stepping stone for me.  Used it for 2 years and moved on to a no annual fee rewards card.

Re: Blaze Mastercard

They emailed me about an increase and still did a hard pull.  They disclosed it so it wasnt unexpected.

Thanks. I am not sure if I am too much fan of hard pulls at this time of my credit building life cycle. I already have 5 inqs on TU and not sure I want to add another one for just few hundred dollars credit limit. Any way let me get started and see what happens. I applied for Blaze online and they gave me $500 Credit Limit. I'll use it for a year and see where it stands and how my credit scores will improve.

Re: Blaze Mastercard

I really can't remember.  Probably less than 2 years to go from 300.00 to 1100.00. I never asked for a lower AF. I knew nothing about that back then.
