They have never come to my work, but have left their card on my door at home. We always call them back when they leave a card or message.
The best thing to do if you owe is to call and let them do a budget. They will agree that you can't pay the debt at the moment and write you off as uncollectable.
If you get uncollectable status on your account, they will usually leave you alone for about a year.
I seem to notice the get stirred up about 6-8 months after you file your tax returns.
