I'm so sorry to hear that. You wrote a really good letter. One suggestion I've read here is to address your letter to someone high up in the company. Another thought, since theyre local, would be to go there is person to plead your case. I don't know if that's a good idea or not, though. Just a thought. I'd probably call or look them up online and find out who the president/CEO is and try writing the letter to him/her directly.
Perhaps others with more experience in GW can offer some suggestions.
Well, I located the President/CEO's email address. I'm going to email them and see what happens. Basically, I'll be sending the same thing as my last letter, but preface it with my disgust of their form letter sent after my letter.
This was my preface:
I'm contacting you because I have sent letters via USPS twice and received no resolve, nor real answer. I was glad to see such a quick response. Unfortunately, it was not the response I was expecting. Each of the responses that I received were form letters. The first I can understand, but the second form letter did not pertain to my concern at all. I'm simply asking for a good-will gesture. I'm not disputing anything, yet this letter I receive pertained to a dispute. I am sincerely hoping you will take the time to read and respond to my concern personally, or pass this along to someone who will give it serious consideration. Thank you so much for your time, in advance.
Very nice!
Just some info< if I read ur letter correctly 25.00 dollars?? FYI, under the FCRA guidelines< i read somewhere you are allowed a one time deletion for a collection under either 75.00 or 100.00. I would will look a little later after dinner and find the fcra guideline. think you have to write a letter explaining etc. give me a little time and I will find that info for you.
Please do that'd be awesome.
I didnt find it under fcra, but i have read it somewhere....I read it last year because I had a 75 dollar er visit bill and I could of had it deleted. I called the hosp and they did a pfd anyway. I am hoping I didnt speak too fast and it be under part of Ohio's credit law. Im gonna search all three credit reporting agencys rules and the federal trade commision laws. I know i read it somewhere......maybe somebody else has seen that also and will chime in.
Success! My first delete! This feels great!! The email to the CEO did the trick. They sent me a delete letter and copy of the trade-line delete request. Sweet. I can't wait to see it reflected on my reports. Then it'll really feel good. Won't do much of anything for my score, I'm sure, but it's a start!
Wow! Congratulations! That's wonderful. I'm very happy for you. It's interesting how the other people flat-out denied your request, but the CEO approved it. I wonder why. Maybe only higher-ups have the authority to make those decisions.
The first letters probably went to the same people that call you. When at work, they have no hearts. They probably also didn't even really read the letter, just skimmed it. Apparently the $25 amount and the fact that it was seriously affecting my credit did it.
Funny, this was only affecting Experian. I logged into USAA CCMP this morning, and noticed my EX fako score had gone up. I didn't think much of it because I just got my utilization down a bit. So 27 points, I didn't think much of it. After getting the letter, I logged in and to my surprise, the account was already gone!
