Re: Cap 1, Credit One or Milestone??

I have had the Capital One since February with a $49 deposit, but I sent in another $100 to make my limit $300. I have had no problems thus far. I was just approved for Credit One last Sunday and I am waiting on that card now. With Credit One interest starts on purchases as soon as you make them as there is no grace period. I haven't been prequalified for Milestone yet.

Get the the Cap One card. You can grow very quickly and have there prime card in no time. Predator one is awful... Stay away you'll thank me later. Don't know much abt the milestone card as I haven't been prequalified for that card yet.
My FICO8 as of 4/1/16 EQ: 544 TU: 586 EX: 599

Capital One First and Foremost,  IMO. My second pick would be The Milestone Card. This card has a big annual fee and a credit line of 300$ for life! I started my re-build with The Milestone Card. Interest is a bit high, but you pay no interest if you PIF. No monthly maintenance fees or additional fees other than the annual fee. IMO, not a bad re-build card. It served it's purpose.

Credit One I try to keep out of my vocabulary.

What are your Fico scores and credit file like? I would Stay away from credit one and milestone, use what you would have paid in fees to take care of baddies or increase your secured Cap One. Once you are in with Cap One you can grow with them, and get into their better products which will then lead to prime territory with others. Remember this is a Marathon not a Sprint.

Starting: EQ 501 TU 514 EX 533 (12/2014)
Current: EQ 613 TU 625 EX 615 (4/1/2016) Goal: 640 and a new home loan

If you qualify for Cap One and Milestone, you don't need Credit One. It's way too predatory. Stay away. You have better options...

Cap One, without a doubt - forget the other two completely. App for both the QS1 and the Platinum, after the secured card starts reporting..

Re: Cap 1, Credit One or Milestone??

I thought Cap 1.

My my scores are EX 576

EQ 582

TU 596

About to have the Fingerhut "real" account post $250

limit on the 18th. And a small loan from credit union

should post hopefully the 1st.

I just apped QS and Platinum about 3 or 4 weeks

ago when I got secured. Denied. But score has gone

up 16 points since then.

How long should I wait to reapply to Cap 1 for unsecured?

Oh, I have quite a few inquiries so trying not to app

too much for next six months.

people keep saying this about Credit One but I've used the card many times already and have been charged $0 in interest. I do pay the when the transaction post or within a week though so maybe that helps. Even got a credit increase a few weeks after opening the account free of charge. Credit One has been fine by me and I even have prime cards. The only thing you have to worry about is the annual fee when that comes up. Just PIF before statement cut date and don't pay for credit increases and the card should be just fine to use as  a "tool" to build your credit.

I'd not app for anything else and let the Cap 1 age 6 months.  With the other items you'll have reporting you should get enough of a score boost by then to qualify for better cards.
