Does anyone know how long it takes to receive a response from a Goodwill Letter emailed to the Executive Office?
Last Thursday, I sent a goodwill letter to 3 email addresses for the Executive Office regarding a 30 day late payment being reported to the credit bureaus last month, requesting they remove it as a courtesy.
It's literally the only late payment on my file and I have numerous tradelines, including student loans and with a virtually all the top 10 banks, Sychrony, American Express and Discover.
What ultimately happened is when I lost my job due to COVID, I decided to use my savings to start a business while unemployed. However, due to the worsening supply chain issues resulting from COVID lockdowns and the rapidly increasing inflationary pressures, my business became unprofitable and I had to shut it down, which was another massive hit to my income.
I did submit a $500 payment on the balance on 4/7 (total balance was ~$1400) and I have now secured full time employment, so I am able to make regular payments again.
I did stress all of this in my letter. And reading through the forum to see other people's experience, who received phone calls or emails soon after sending their letters, the fact that I'm not *ANY* response after a week (for acknowledgement, approval or rejection) is worrisome.
I'm tempted to send a new email tomorrow, but I'm hesitant to do so because I'm not sure where my last email stands. I would have no problem reaching out by phone to follow up on this too if I had the right number.
Any feedback about response time would be appreciated.
