Hello everyone - this is my first time posting but I thought I'd let everyone know of my experience and hopefully this will help at least one person or give them a little bit of hope!
During the pandemic, my family was hit hard financially. We did our best but I had to stay home to care for our two small children due to a loss of childcare. Anyways, we ended up having six late payments with Capital One. I'm embarrassed to say, but we had 2 x 30 day, 1 x 60 day, 1 x 90 day and 2 x 120 day. Since then, we have brought our account current.
I sent emails to a couple of executives, and yesterday, I received a letter via FedEx from the Capital One Customer Advocacy Office, which confirmed they are removing all six delinquencies from all three credit reports! Just a little bit of effort paid off!
That is awesome! Congratulations on the removals. Can you share with whom you sent the emails? (Admins)Are we allowed to ask for this kind of information in the forums?
WOW that's amazing! Congrats! Yea, I have a missed from PenFed cc (a new card I only got in august) and got Covid so Dec was a big blur to me. My account is also current but nervous about asking for the goodwill. BUT, you just inspired me! Thanks for sharing!
Hi @FicoCent, I'm not sure if I can list their emails here but I googled "Capital One Executives" and I emailed the CEO (Richard Fairbank), President of Financial Services (Sanjiv Yajnik), and Director of Operations (Timothy Erxleben) - their email format is firstname.lastname at captialone.com. I had to send emails twice and never actually received a response back - but I got a letter in the mail finally. Let me know if you have any questions! Good luck!
Grats on getting it done!!
Only email that can be published is the CEO or President of the company as they are considered public figures.
