Re: Capital One QuicksilverOne

I had a question. I have a thin Credit file of only 4 months. I have 4 accounts in good standings. 1 is a shared secured installment loan. The other 3 are Secured credit cards. 1 BOA cash rewards, 1 Cap One an Discover IT. UTIL  has always been 1%. Since starting this credit rebuilding process I have managed to get rid of almost all my derogatory accounts except 1. On my TU CR, I have only 1 negative CA reporting (traffic ticket) from 2011 in the amount of $ 910.00. According to Equifax credit monitoring an my Cap one, my history is 11 years 4 months. I'm assuming this is because I have 2 closed installment accounts reporting with a $0 balance from 11 years ago (its a closed account). Other than that I have 8 inquiries on my TU report. Although I have only open credit cards 4 months ago. According to Equifax credit monitoring my TU score is 663. My Discover IT as of 11/06/14 is 671. What do you guys think my chances are at getting approved for the Quick silver Master card? Thanks in advance guys.

Mark.

Re: Capital One QuicksilverOne

I have one medical collection from 2011. My TU score is 598. I don't use credit so I am trying to build for a house. Cap one quicksilver approved me for a $1k cl last week.  I used the pre-qualify link on the cap one site first and went from there.

Re: Capital One QuicksilverOne

For what my personal experience is worth, I have never had much luck with Capital One.  I have scores ranging from 780 to the low 800's  (depending on when I pull, if I dont pay before a statement cuts, etc) and Ive applied for Capital One for one reason or another at least 3 times in the past 5-10 years. Most recently for a Venture Rewards about 6 months ago after a recommendation from a good friend.  Every single time my application is put into processing and every time they want 2 years of tax returns with all schedules to verify my income. Im not sending 100+ pages of my most personal information to a credit card company for the "luxury" of having a Capital One card.  Obviously I have read many posts to the contrary on these forums, but my experience has not been a pleasant one.
