Capital One with incorrect open date on a paid charge off

On my credit reports Capital One is showing as a negative account.  I have settled with them and it is now a paid charge off on my cr.  This part is correct...the problem I have is they are saying this account was opened 5/15/2007 and I know for a fact this account was opened in late Sept./early Oct. of 2011.  I have no proof of my online application though.

After I paid the account I disputed with Trans Union that it was paid and also the year it was opened at the same time.  They came back and fixed the account to paid but never mentioned the opened date.

So my question is how is the best way to get this corrected.  Ultimately, especially since it is an adverse account, I would like to have the tradeline removed.  Do I send a direct dispute to Capital One or file a complaint with the CFPB?

Thanks for the advice!!

Capital One isn't easy to fight. They're used to people defaulting on their 300 cards. You most likely will have it update many times over, before any chance of removal. Call each CRA, and ask them what the exclusion date is for that specific item, or CRTP. I see an advantage in the long run here, as you're saying the account is being listed as older than it really is, which even in CO status, is helping your AAOA. Double edged sword.
