If you want to get back in with them, pay them in full. You don't have to. They may let you back in with a settlement or even if you don't pay them anything, but they will never let you forget you burned them. You'll have to recon almost everything from apps to credit limit increases. It will always be brought up.

How long ago was a "while ago"? Charge offs count against your util %. Charge offs are like a maxed out 100% card even though its closed. If you can settle for less. Then they have to report it at $0 balance. There will be a score boost considering other factors of course. But the fall off will be the DoFD or your last payment. Settle it and let it age and fall off. Good Luck!
A while ago was about 2010 I believe when they finally charged it off.

That is almost 10 years ago. That should have dropped off by now. Are you sure it is more than 7 years ago ? If it is more than 7 years old, you might want to dispute with CRA to remove it.
Chase still has it I called them they wanted to offer me a settlement $150 or lower a month and they will reduce the balance. Chase has held onto this debt for quite a while and I want to get back in with them I just don't know if I should accept this offer from them and it is not on my cr anymore for other banks to see but Chase still has it in their own history.

Yeah I think that's what I will do thanks for the help. This question is for anybody has anyone had a charge off with Chase then paid it off and have they gotten back in with them?

How do you know they will extend new credit after you pay this ?
