State SOL has nothing to do with how long something can be repoted.  That is just the time frame for a law suit.

As long as the debt is not older than 7.5 years from the DoFD of the OC account, yes, they can still report.

I see. If the debt is not the same bill that I'd already paid, perhaps I can talk them into not reporting it, by paying it. What do you think?

Re: Collection Agency question.

You can always ask.  Each CA is different.  Some will give you 30 days to pay before they report, some will not report at all, some will report no matter what you do.  But it never hurts to ask.

Agreed. I'm just waiting for the reply from the other collection agency that I'd paid back in 2013 to confirm if it's the same xray. If it isn't, I'll go from there. So far, nothing has been reported. That I'm somewhat surprised.

Re: Collection Agency question.

Update. After reviewing the information, it looks like it was a bill that I'd owed. There was an xray taken in three stages. So I wasn't aware of three different bills. I'd called the CA while at the sametime, recorded the conversation just in case they deny anything. Long story short, they told me that they will not send it to the credit report. They never do and he'll send me that via email along with a confirmation of my payment. So if things change, after making him tell me this more than once, I have it documented.
