Hey everyone!!
Just wanted to share that I got the most recent collection account removed from my TU report!! Woo hoo! It was a medical collection from 2014 for $422- not sure where it came from because my insurance covers pretty much everything. Anyway, disputed it yesterday and got the alert that it was removed today! TU score jumped 12 points which is awesome because it was my lowest score! All scores are officially in the orange ![]()
Quick question- this collection was reported to my EQ as well (have seen it on here and the past EQ report that I pulled) but the collection agency shows up on myfico as random letters and numbers and under comments it says "Medical" with the same balance. When I tried to dispute it on EQ it didn't even show up on my EQ report? I know its on there but is there a reason that I can't dispute it? Or is it because the collection agency isn't identified?
Anyway- all collections will be taken care of by the end of next month!! Thank God!!!

If it is not showing up, how do you know it is on there? I would advise pulling a report directly from Equifax and see if it is on there or not, if you do not see it on there, then it is not there.
How did you get it removed? Did you call the collection agency up and dispute with them directly or did you go through the credit bureau?

I did pull my report directly from EQ on 5/16/15 and it's listed on the report.. but when I try to dispute it online (as of today) it doesn't show up at all. Not sure what's going on? Just because I disputed it with TU doesn't have anything to do with EQ right?

Are you sure it hasn't been removed since 5/16? If it is not showing up to dispute, I really don't think it is there.

I think you are correct. I just pulled my updated EQ and it's gone? Which is crazy because I didn't even have to dispute it. I did send them a letter two weeks ago asking for a PFD and if they didn't respond in X amount of time I was going to ask for validation- ICD9 codes, CPT codes, Date of Service etc. Looks like they just deleted it... and I didn't even have to pay. Lucky me.
Another random question- Do you think a paid charge off from 2009 is worth trying to get removed early? It's a Chase credit card from when I was in college and I had no knowledge of the account.. I think my mom opened it in my name or something. The CL was $500 but it says $0 balance now. Any advice?

Hey pdubbs79- sorry I didn't respond to this! Check your PM's but I'll post it up here so anyone who's in the same boat can see. So I went directly to transunion.com and clicked on dispute. Once they provide your CR just scroll through to the stuff you want to dispute and there's a little box next to it that says "dispute this item" or something like that. Once you click that, it'll give you a bunch of boxes you can check that say "I have no knowledge of this account" "insurance paid this" etc. I clicked on "I have no knowledge of this account" or "I am no longer liable for this account"- I'm not sure which one. But in the comment box I wrote "I have no knowledge of this account. Please provide ICD9 codes, CPT codes, and Date of Service for this medical collection."
It was literally deleted in less than 24 hours. I think maybe because I mentioned ICD9 codes, CPT codes, etc. it helped with the speedy removal- I work in a surgeon's office so I'm pretty well versed in medical billing. They can't provide that information because of HIPAA obviously.
Or maybe I just got lucky. Worth a try though! Hope it helps!
I dispute 1 credit collection with Expirian online it was paid collection, was removed this month . 12 point on my Expirian , myfico does not have that collection anymore. check my karma credit it was removed from my Equifax and Transunion too =) . I know my Fico score raise this month too .
I did not dispute that collection with Equifax or TransUnion already show as paid collection was removed the same date Expirian removed it weird.
