Collection showing on True Credit report, but not on annual report from EQ

I have a collection from 2002 that has a balance of $4.  It was originally for $65 from Coserv, but I disputed it when I was first notified years ago and they agreed it was a mistake.  Then they eventually notified me that I still owed $4.   EQ was the only one still showing it last year.

This year I got my EQ free report and it is no longer listed.  But, the EQ report from True Credit still shows it and it's condition is listed as derogatory.  Why would TC's report have this when the report from EQ has no collections listed?  I could understand something missing from the TC report, but not added...

Not really sure, but they're seriously trying to collect on 4 dollars? Offer to pay them 8 and get it deleted... Smiley Wink

Edit: after considering this, when did you pull your EQ and your TC reports? its possible that its been re-inserted after you pulled your yearly report.

I think it was reinserted.  I pulled my 3 reports from TC again after I posted and it popped up on my TU report now as well (20 point drop on the Fako).  I guess EX will be next.  Yeah, they are after me for $4.  The original bill was for a period of time I was no longer living at that address (The service was shut off before this period).  I proved that to them, but for some reason they still think I owed $4.

I don't think this CA will do a written PFD...So I guess I just have to live with a $4 derogatory for a year until it drops off.  This really sucks because I'm looking to buy a house soon.
