Collections in wrong section of reports

I have a couple of collection accounts (Asset Acceptance and Midland) that show up in the 'collections' section on one of my credit reports, but on the other two they are not listed under 'collections' - they are in the same section as the other accounts. Could this be the reason my scores are lower on these two reports? If so, why are they in the wrong place and how do I fix it?

Re: Collections in wrong section of reports

It could be for other reasons than being a collections.  FICO will score it as a collections no matter where it is.  However, If it is in the account section they could be factoring in to your utilization, etc and they are not supposed to.

This would be a CRA issue and not the CAs.
