I have two collections on my credit report from Cox Communications which I just found out were there and they have been there apparently since 10/2006! I have always paid my bills on time and have good credit but I had just decided to see what was in my credit report for the first time in years and found a few questionables and this being the worst. I moved from Las Vegas in 2006 and specifically remember returning my cable boxes to the office before leaving and from what I remember not leaving an unpaid bill. I had my mail forwarded when I moved and had I gotten a bill, would have paid it. So what do I do? I would like to be able to have it removed all together and have the means to pay both bills in full if that what it takes (the 2 bills total $600?!). I just want to make sure I go about this the right way in order to contact and pay the right people from the get go to be able to get this hopefully removed! Thanks for any advice!
