Hello again,
I've been watching my credit for a couple months on Credit Karma and my score was a 595. I recently paid down all my oustanding debt when I realized the high balances were killing me. (credit noob) I just pulled all 3 scores on annualcreditreport.com I like how they say the report is free, yet you have to pay to see the actual score!.
Anyway, Here are my scores from tonight:
Equifax: 652
Experian: 675
Transunion: 742
The Credit Karma is still reporting 595. Is that normal?
I have a few baddies that are due to fall off fairly soon, so I'll need to research how to handle that. Request early deletions from the agencies I would assume.
Thanks!!
I do not pay attention to my credit karma score. It is over 100 points lower than my myfico score and almost 100 points lower than credit sesame and Quizzle.
Thanks for the reply!
I was just reading frequently requested threads Auto Credit and Scoring post and noticed the following
First, get your three credit reports\scores from myfico.com. Remember, myfico.com is the ONLY place you can get all three of your actual FICO scores. The three major buraeus sell credit scores. There are commonly referred to as FAKO scores and are worthless to you
Is this legit?
So the scores I just paid from links from all 3 credit agency sites are FAKO scores???? Please say it ain't so.

Hello and welcome.
I've been gone for awhile and things might have changed but this is how I remember it. Hopefully if I'm wrong someone will quickly correct me.
At one time the links to TU and EX from annualcreditreport.com did not provide FICO scores. EQ did provide a FICO but you had to be very careful because EQ also sells their own proprietary score which is not a FICO.
Look at the wording carefully on those scores. If the word "FICO" is not present you have FAKO scores.
Thanks for the info. So when a lender pulls a report, where do the scores originate? Where's that scoring engine?
the lender pulls actual FICO from what we see here, correct? i wish my lender would upgrade to FICO 09. it is great for those of us hit with MASSIVE medical debt.
Here's what you get from MyFICO.
I didn't know that the credit karma score was fako until I had to buy a car this summer. I learned that my credit karma score was about sixty points lower than the lender scores. When I stared rebuilding my credit karma score never budged, but my other scores including other fako scores did move.
My CK, CS and Quizzle scores are lower than MyFico scores, but only by 20-30 points. Everyone is different. I ignore the FAKO's but I find them useful to watch changes in my reports. Some folks report their FAKO's are lower than their MyFico's and vice versa....YMWV. But as others have said the scores you get on MyFICO are real scores.
