In June 2017 I went to Puerto Rico for a work trip. I used my Credit One Bank card to pay for an Uber. They declined the charges and when I called them, they told me to use cash to pay for the Uber as they had a lot of issues with stolen identity. As it turned out, my card number was used in several places on the island. When I returned home, I called and reported the incorrect charges to them and instead of the person fining an identity theft claim, he put into the system that I never opened the account. As a result, the account was closed and I was unable to access it or make payments. They mailed me a new card and would not activate it. In May of 2018, I spent 4 hours on the phone, talked to them in detail and paid in full for all my charges and they told me they would open an investigation. In July 2018, I spent another 4 hours on the phone, finally spoke to someone on the corporate side and they did remove the charges, but they have yet to remove the late reports and reopen my account. This is frustrating. I call and talk to people, they say they will help me, but they don't.

Credit One's fraud team seems to incompetent from I have heard. I would do what Cole615 suggested: dispute with the CBs. The CBs will contact Credit One to investigate the late payments. Credit One should have no problem telling the CBs to remove the late marks. ![]()
In the event that the CBs conclude the late marks to be accurate, reach out to the CFPB (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) to get this issue resolved. From what I have read here, lenders generally take the CFPB seriously. ![]()

I have done this once, but called them. After reading the different posts here, I will mail them a letter along with the card.

I have had WARS with credit one bank... WARSSSSSSSSSS.... They own their collection agency BTW, LVNV funding!!
You will likely get no where with these scum bags, make a BBB report and a CFPB report on them, thats the only way to get their attention
Glad I closed that card. They even offered me 15% apr for 6 months if I stayed. But in two months I would have been charged and annual fee. Uh no thanks close the card please. But but but, uh no. Lol close it.
It has been beyond frustrating. You call and tell them your issue and they respond by reading a script which doesn't even make any sense...and with a question you already answered. I just burnt out as I start the calls trying to be positive...end the calls with my blood boiling. I find it interstaing that they state they give you fruad protection and this is what they are known for on thier genric website. LOL
