Credit Rebuild-My Overview/Story

Since I've finally bitten the bullet and joined the community, I felt like starting a thread I can update my progress on may help give others inspiration and a good comp related to their own situations. Also hoping this helps hold me accountabile to clear my credit up and join the other success stories here.

Overview: newly married dude in my early 30s. Good job, Good Income (by most people's standards). **bleep**TY CREDIT!

Current Scores (11/5/21):

619 FICO Score 8 TransUnion

603 FICO Score 9 Experian

636 Fico Score 8 Experian (from Experian Website Pull Today)

648 Fico Score 2 Experian

591 Equifax Fico Score 8 (need to get this one up)

Positive TradeLines:

All with exceptional payment history

1st Digital/Synovus - $35 balance ($400 limit)

Credit One Bank -$108 balance ($1,000 limit)

Discover - $434 Balance ($5500 credit limit)

Wells Fargo Dealer Services ($2,630 remaining)

Negative Items

Collections:

Convergent Outsourcing (T Mobile) $761

Bay Area Credit Service (American Medical Response) $909

Charge Offs ( I plan on executig PIFs on all by end of month)

Amex - $2,432 (I tried to do a PIF today, they sent me to a collections agency who told me my account had been "recalled" cannot do anything to settle until i talk to some specialist on wednesday re delinquent accounts)

Barclays Bank Delaware- $2,791

USAA- $938

I was just approved for a Capital One Quicksilver Card with a $5,000 limit that I am stoked to go online, since that should help scores correct?

My goal is to be in the 700s or high 600s worst case scenario by the Summer so I can buy a house.

Anyone have any tips or strategies on what I should do to reach my goal.

- I'm looking to buy a new car in the next few weeks, while servicing my current Car financed with Wells Fargo (don't want to pay off since it will ding my overall credit age and total accounts)

If your after a house. All CO's have to be settled or PIF. Espcially AMEX if you want to get back in with the Optima card. You can go with AZEO mainly to save interest that could be going to the debts. Congrats on your approval. No more apps for a year before the home loan. Once its all taken care of. You can pull a 3B report from here and check your mortgage scores.

Homeowner since Sept 2020. My posts are JMHO. My siggy is not to brag. Just sharing my experiences after BK from learning here from rebuild to recovery from the @ 540's.

Re: Credit Rebuild-My Overview/Story

Update:

PIF the delinquent Amex account, have sent 3 emails to the executive office without a response.

Went to T-Mobile Directly and PIF in exchange for them to stop Convergent from reporting to the Credit Agencies... still don't have a confirmation email ? What should I do to conifrm that this will happen?

Also realized I have a Baddie with Self/Atlantic Capital Bank: I was 30 days late and completed their credit rebuilding program earlier this year.

Sent them an email asking for a Good Will Removal and got the following message:

Thank you for your request, all goodwill adjustments are reviewed and individually verified. Unfortunately, we will not be able to honor your request to alter reporting at this time. Self Financial, Inc (Self) is required by federal regulation to maintain accurate & factual reporting, therefore, we cannot remove any accurate reporting that has occurred.

We offer our customers a 15-day grace period before a late fee is assessed on your account and payments will be reported to the Credit Bureaus when it is 30 days overdue.

We send all communications electronically to the email address on file to alert you when your account payment is due, 1 day past due, 15 days past due and 30 days past due, as well as any failed payment alerts, etc. Please ensure that your email address on file is up to date to receive these notifications. The email address that we have on file is

If you are ever having difficulties making payments due to extenuating circumstances, please give us a call before your account reaches 30 days past due M-F, 9am-5pm Central at 877-883-0999 so the support team can provide you with account options at that time.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Any ideas on how to esclate this ^^ Any specific departments to contact?
