Credit Update

Hello,

Been looking at this forum seriously for about a year now. In that year I've taken basically a 100 point jump in scores via the Experian app, my scores are

Experian - 678

Equifax - 660

TU - 683

I was wondering what app is the most accurate app for scores because my credit karma shows a 50 point difference in my scores. Also what else I can do to finally get into that 700 range also. I want to thank you guys for the help. If Experian is the most accurate app, Ill finally finished my rebuild, and now I can just continue to raise my score.

Re: Credit Update

It's not that one app is more "accurate," it's just that you're looking at different versions of your scores. Credit Karma provides Vantage 3.0 scores, while Experian provides true FICO 8s, which are the most commonly used scores by lenders. It's like comparing apples to oranges.

Both sites are "accurate," but Credit Karma's scores aren't really used by many lenders.

You can get your true FICO 8s either on Experian/Credit Check Total, or here on MyFICO.

As for how to get to the 700s, we need more information. We'd need you to list all accounts, their current balances, limits, age of oldest account, age of youngest account, average age of accounts, and any negative/derogatory information on your reports as well.

Last App: 1/10/2023
Penfed Gold Visa Card

Currently rebuilding as of 04/11/2019.

Re: Credit Update

In addition to what @OmarGB9 wrote, different data gets reported to each of the three credit bureaus, given each of them have a slightly different scoring formula in combination to the variances in the data and it is all but assured each will report a slightly different score from the other two.  Is any one more accurate than the others?  No, I don't believe so; you just need to take in the totality of the three to get a really picture of where you stand in the world of credit.

I categorically refuse to do AZEO!
