CreditOne Late Payment Removal Success 2021

There is another thread on this as well.... but I cannot comment on that thread.

https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Rebuilding-Your-Credit/CreditOne-Late-Payment-Removal-Success/td-p/...

Im in the process of applying for a mortgage and was devastated to find Credit1 reported a 30 day late!

I paid the full amount of the card in August (its Nov now).  I saw the balance go to zero and put that card to the back of my mind as we have other more pressing priorities.

I am enrolled in the paperless billing yet I didnt get any notifications, phone calls, or messages.

Turns out they added a $3.16 interest fee (and that annual fee they break up into a monthly fee), a late fee, then reported it 30 days late.

Calling the customer serivce number was useless.  They sent me to the collection department where you leave a message and they say you will get a call back in 24 hours.   That never happened.

I finally sent an email listing all the facts (and I would also try a Goodwill Letter if there are no extenuating circumstances) to the executive customer serivce contact.  I would not send it to the CEO as that seems to result in a less favorible result.

The next day I called their number and got transferred to a person in the Executive Office, they said the case was already opened and promised a call back form the person the case was assigned to.

I got that call 30 minutes later, and they removed the 30 day late, and emailed me a letter stating that they did.   I also got a call back to make sure I got the letter.

They offered to directly contact the mortgage company as well if I needed them to do that.

I cannot list name or numbers on here, send me a message if you need to.

Congrats. They are known to be kinda forgiving in some cases over other sub prime cards.
