DV'd, got this back what exactly does it mean?

I DV'd a charged off sears card and i got an alert saying my score went up 9 points. This is from score watch:

CBUSASEARS (XXXXXXXXXXXX3844) Show/Hide Details
Account opened: 8/2005
Description: Consumer disputes this account information Account transferred or sold

Charge Previously Reported:
Balance: $818
Past due: $818
Status: Bad Debt; Placed for collection;
Last activity: 10/1/2005
High credit: Not Reported
Description: Charge off account Closed account

Newly reported: Balance: $0
Past due: Not Reported
Status: Pays account as agreed
Last activity: 10/1/2005
High credit: $852
Description: Consumer disputes this account information Account transferred or sold

Charge I DV'd it with the " The balance is incorrectly reported as $818 but it should be: $0." reason. Does this mean that this trade line is no longer deragotory? Or did my score jump 9 points because the balance went down to 0?

Re: DV'd, got this back what exactly does it mean?

It looks like they have updated it as "Account transferred or sold," so they may have sold it. That would be tricky, since you DV'd and then it looks like they sold it (legal? fraud?).

It's not really concrete as to what has happened until they send you a letter of some sort or you find out more. :-/
