Debt collector listed as new trade line & a collection account

Hello

I hope someone has some insight. I have a debt collector that appeared on Transunion as a collection. Then this morning I receive multiple alerts that the same debt collector is now showing as a new trade line as well. Are they able to do this? If not, what would be the best way to go about getting them to fix the error? Here's what the alert shows me when I check the new trade line:

Source: Transunion
Alert Date:  02/11/2025
Account Balance:
Payment Status: 9B (120 days late)
Name: STARMARK FINANCIAL, LLC.
Business Type: YC
Street Address:

I forgot to mention that this debt was purchased from the original creditor and the original creditor deleted their trade line.

Being they bought the debt, they have the right to report the account.  But, they can't report it as two separate entries.  If that's the case (2 entries) you should dispute it with any credit bureau it's showing that way.

The account is still eligible for removal at 7 years based on the date of first default that led to the charge off with the original creditor.

Thank you for the response.

So after looking at it again, it is indeed reporting twice. Once under collections and once as essentially a credit card or revolving account. The revolving account portion is what confuses me. I've never see or had a collection report that way.
