Designed Receivable Solutions

Has anyone worked with this CA? This was a medical collection. I was ignorant about PFD and after reading on the forums, was wondering if anyone had any experience with this CA and if they'll delete this account. It was PIF almost a year ago.

Thanks!

Re: Designed Receivable Solutions

Here's what I got today after emailing the president of DRSI...

-------------------------------------------------

Ms. ME,

For you edification, credit bureau bylaws do not allow us to delete information that was rightfully submitted to them, rather we are only allowed to update it so that it accurately reflects the status of the account (if they allowed deletions, the integrity of the credit reporting system would be defeated, since the purpose of a credit ‘history’ is to report that history in its entirely, warts and all).

That said, I have reviewed your two accounts, and I see that you gave us no trouble in resolving them. Therefore, I have chosen to make an exception in your case and allow a full deletion following your impassioned email plea. You shouldn’t count on that in the future, however.…

Accordingly, I’m advising our admin department herewith to process the deletion instructions to the credit bureaus. You should know that this process could take a week or possibly more, so you may want to hold off on reapplying for credit for that amount of time.

Good luck with the new home.

Re: Designed Receivable Solutions

You were lucky.  The CA gave you good advice not to rely on PFD or GW deletions as a matter of their policy..

He was correct.  It IS against their credit reporting agreements with the CRAS for them to delete accurate, prior reporting based on your payment of the debt.

This was an exception to their policy.

Re: Designed Receivable Solutions

I knew going into it that there was the possibility that my gw would be denied and I was ok with that; knowing that I did the right thing by paying the debt was enough. I feel lucky to have had this opportunity come through, and equally thankful to all of the people on this board for suggestions and the gentleman at DRSI for responding to my gw request!

Re: Designed Receivable Solutions

i recently reviewed my credit report and found this company with a delinquent account on my report.  it is due to a workers comp accident that a previous employer never paid for.  i will pay the debt just to make this look better on my report, but just curious- what all did you have to do to get this off of your report?

Looks like OP sent a GW letter to the CA.

Example letters - PFDs, GWs, DVs, etc.

I sent a GW letter and they deleted the account. Check your PMs in a moment.

Re: Designed Receivable Solutions

FYI - I just got off the phone with them.  They are the CA for two of my medical bills from Marina Del Rey Hospital.

The guy first didn't want to play his cards early and said that paying in full would not delete the marks from my credit.  I told him that I was just following up with him because of the letter, that I wasn't interested in getting a loan or anything right now and basically would of payed if I knew it was coming off but wouldn't pay for no other reason.  He gave a me a quick lecture about how these are my bills and the responsible thing to do is pay.  As I was about to hang up, he interuppted me and said, hey, I see that you have called on your good faith to get this resolved, let me talk to my manager.   A minute later he said that if I pay in full they will send me a letter saying that it will be removed and that it would removed from all credit reporting bureaus in about 30 days.  Smiley Happy    So, make sure you pay in full and even though they will pretend they don't, they will probably remove any negative information after payment.

Re: Designed Receivable Solutions

I've had no personal dealings with this particular CA for medical collections, but I've personally found medical to be easier to GW.

Re: Designed Receivable Solutions

These guys are dicks!

I only discovered I had a medical bill in 2011.  This bill is from 2006.  I had been in the ER for a few hours and was released with no advisment of any financial responsibility.  I never recieved a bill, so I never imagined that my insurance company did not cover the visit.

I called Designed Receivables Solutions in La Palma, CA to ask what this bill was about.  The due advised "this cqall is being recorded".  I said "guess what I am recording this call too".

I had another medical bill (that I was aware of) that had the same $ balance-so I thought it may be a duplicate.  They explained to me what it was-so I figured I would call them later whan I am able to make payment arrangements.  When I did get back in touch with them, I advised that I could not pay the entire amount and explained the situation that I was not aware of the bill..  They explained that I "utilized the services and need to pay it in full",  I then advised that I would pay rhe balance the hospital had-but not the interest the CA company tacked on.  They continued to act like assholes and speak to me in a threatening manner.  They did not offer options such as making payment arrangements or anything.  So I didn't give them **bleep**!  I recently called again and attempted to negotiate again.  I asked the dude if they can remove it from record because it is so old-it is already 6 years old.  The dude said he will "take it off my record AS A COURTESY when I make the full payement".  I said "no-that is not a courtesy, IF I make the full payment, it is your OBLIGATION to remove it".  I asked to speak to a manager and he continued to say "well he's going to tell you the same thing".  I said that's fine because I will tell him the same thing.  The stupid manager got on the phone and advised v"this call is being recorded".  And again I said "I am recording the call as well".  The guy was a peon.  I calmy explained the situation again, and he said that they had sent out notices and had tried contacting me-which was not the case.  LIARS!  I never recieved anything at the address they had on file.  My parents live at that address and would kick my ass if I had bills-or actually would have paid itthemselves.  Anyway-thwe guy was rude anc condesending.  He said I must pay the full balance NOW.  He did not offer payment options and did not demonstrate managerial skills.  So-they can kiss my ass and not get **bleep** from me!  Guess what-the **bleep** comes off my report in one year.  And they cannot do a thing about it.  I have consulted my lawyer-and **bleep** it-I would rather spend $$$ on a lawyer toy mrepresent me than to give those assholes money-just because they acted like assholes!
