Do Settlements Hurt You Credit Score

I just wanted to know if settlements hurt you credit score and if so could I call the OC and pay in full after the account has been settled for a lesser amount? I have a BofA account that is still reporting as delinquent after I settled with them. Can they still do that? What can I do, because every time I try to apply for new credit I'm denied based on the fact that I have a delinquent account. Can I try and get the status changed?

The correct reporting should be  paid/settled for less.  The OC can and will report 7 - 7.5 years from DOFD.

You can try for a PFD with the OC. Usually they will not accept it.
