EE Sucess I Think

Thanks to these forums I called TU and asked could 2 account due to fall off in August be removed early via EE and they granted that request!! Im trying not to get too excited until its actually removed b/c last month EX said the same thing and when I noticed it wasn't removed I called back and they had no record of a supervisor telling me they would remove an account early via early exclusion.  TU is my lowest score 648 ...EQ is 669 and EX 659.  We're having a house built and the lender will have to do another credit so I've been trying everything to boost my scores a little more.

Congrats! I called them yesterday with an EE attempt and the rep I spoke with acted like he didn't know what I was talking about *rolls eyes*

I asked to speak to a supervisor and he's the one that did it b/c the rep kept telling me it has to stay for 7 years.

Re: EE Sucess I Think

I remember when I had my house built. That feeling of accomplishment was exhilirating. Going through the Design Gallery was something else. I had 9 collection accounts from 2011-2013 that was all paid off in 2015 and I was able to successfully remove from all 3 bureaus. I couldn't be happier to see a clean credit report. It was good UNTIL the they were all gone and my credit history was ZERO. Its like I never existed. After Ch 13 in 2005, I paid everything in cash. Back to your concern, I may be wrong but I my experience was different.

1. If they are about to fall off in August, I assume they were derogatory accounts that's why you want them removed and have been reported for 7 years? If they play a major part in your "length of history", your scores might actually drop IF your Average Age of Accounts will go down.

2. I believe, the longer they have been there, those accounts would have very little significance to your credit worthiness at this point.

Re: EE Sucess I Think

It shouldn't affect my AAOA b/c I have other accounts still on my report from around the same time.  I know I won't see a huge bump b/c it is so old, but one of the accounts being removed is a charge off from Kohl's for $540, the account is closed however that $540 is still being calculated in my utilization, so with that being removed my utilization will be 5%. now the other account is a charge off too, however its not being calculated in my utilization so I sure I won't get any points from that falling off
