ENHANCED RECOVERY COLLECTION "AFFECTED BY NATURAL/DECLARED DISASTER" COMMENT

Enhanced Recovery is reporting an old Sprint bill to all 3 CRs.  I noticed in the comment sections of my CR it states; "AFFCTD BY NTRL/DISASTR" & "PLACED FOR COLLECTION". No idea which natural disaster they are referring to but if it can help me then who cares.

I tried to call Sprint to see if they would accept my paymet but they wouldn't.

I see that Enhanced Recovery is a "mixed bag" on PFDs.  Anyone know how/if I can use this natural disaster comment to increase my odds?

I could ask them to validate but the address and phone # sprint has are both on my CR and I want to get this off my CR the fastest way possible.

@Thefallgirl I just wanted to throw my 2 cents out there. For the record, I don't have any experience with that particular comment.

I would have suggested attempting to validate the debt for accuracy, but you have confirmed that some of your information is accurate (There's a good chance it will come back as valid).

Next up, try a pfd with Enhanced even if it might be a long shot.

Lastly, you could HUCA (hang up call again) with the Verizon reps until you reach someone that is willing to take your payment in exchange for it getting recalled. You can try chat or even email.

Best of luck to you! Please keep us posted.

ERC definitely can be a tough nut to crack, but it is worth a shot.

I will say regarding the remark, it does little to help get the account deleted. I have this remark on most all of my derogatory accounts. It could be due to Covid (in my case) or other disasters like natrual events (hurricane/flood/fire). I believe many CAs/creditors placed this remark after the Care Act.

Good luck on your rebuild!

Re: ENHANCED RECOVERY COLLECTION "AFFECTED BY NATURAL/DECLARED DISASTER" COMMENT

i can comment on this i had a collection from ERC ENHANCED RECOVERY COLLECTION. it was Spectrum Cable tv bill reporting from September 2019 and in May 2020 i notice this on my Experian  report comment "affected by natural disaster". Then in June i got a alert this TL have been deleted i got very happy i thought they went out of business and i wont have to pay the $ i owe them lol. Then in July i was checking my "soft pull" section on Experian  i notice a collection agency name CBE GROUP did a solf pull of my Experian  report. 30 days later i got a Mail saying i owe Spectrum cable tv money from CBE GROUP the letter did say if i don't reply in 30 days they have the rights to report to credit Agencys . i called i validated the amount and i PIF. i think what happened was ERC sold the debt to CBE Group and declared disaster on there end.
