Hey guys - I've been reading a lot about some issues when it came to EE requests to TU so I thought I would let you guys know what I did.
First - make sure you are within 6 months of the date the item is to be removed - you can find that on a physical copy of your credit report.
I called this number:
1 (800) 916-8800
Press 1 for English
Press 1 for ...I forgot something else. LoL~
Then when you are prompted about what you are looking to do, say you want to speak to a rep to the robot and you will be placed on hold. I waited about...5 minutes. When someone answered in an accent, I nicely told the rep that I was speaking to a Supervisor from the United States but my call got dropped. Yes I fibbed...but I got transferred right away.
Once transferred to a US rep, I told them I was hoping to get an old account removed from my report. She asked me for my info to confirm my identity, asked which account it was, saw that it was in the correct time frame, removed it, and then said she was sending a letter to confirm it in the mail.
That was it! ;D Good luck~ and remember - no matter how frustrated you are, you catch more bees with honey. If you lose your cool, just remind the rep: "I'm so sorry if I sound so frustrated at you. It's not at you...I've just been struggling to get this fixed for a long time."
Nice 👌
Thanks for sharing and congratulations on your success!
Congrats to you!🎉
Mine was removed today too. Better not be an April Fool's joke from TU.

Thanks everyone!
Congrats and thanks for updating the group!
@PizzaAngel84 I didn't read everyone elses's reply (yet) but I had similar success with TU today as well! It was gone within 20 minutes!
Congrats LadyBug & CorySoccer!
