Enhanced Recovery Collection RETURNED
I just logged onto Experian this morning to check my profile and noticed that a collection account with Enhanced Recovery for a Comcast Cable bill has returned. I've NEVER had Comcast cable so I requested validation and disputed the account and it was deleted from all three CRAs in May 2014.
I have no idea what I need to do now... And now it states, "Account information disputed by consumer (Meets requirement of the Fair Credit Reporting Act." This is not true!
I am not a happy camper. Has anyone out there had a collection return all of a sudden, and what do I need to do exactly?
Starting FICOs: (May 2014) Low to mid 500s (all 3 bureaus)
GOAL: As HIGH as possible! All 3 FICOs above 680/700 will be NICE!!!
Total Credit Limits- $104,120

The same thing happended to me in april this year, i had DV them and they deleted the account only to put it back 30days later......but i ended up paying the OR the balance and it was deleted....I dont think it will come back now that the bill is paid....maybe you just need to pay it. I understand it's not yours but if its going to cause a problem just pay it off.....

If the bill is not yours and you can show some kind of proof or evidence, then you may need to do a 623 Direct Dispute with Comcast.

Re: Enhanced Recovery Collection RETURNED
You are now in a postion where, with no active credit reporting of collection, you have no issues under either the FDCPA or FCRA.
However, since you have received prior communication asserting an alleged debt, it is possible that the asserted debt coud re-arise.
A collection on the debt can be reinserted in your CR under certain conditions, which are depedent upon whether the prior deletion resulted from the resolution of a dispute.
It is to your benefit if the prior deletion resulted from resolution of a dispute, as reinsertion only has specific requirements under those conditions.
You state that you "disputed the account.
Was that done apart from your prior DV, and if so, was it a direct dispute sent to the debt collector, or a dispute filed with the CRA?
If you did dispute, you should have received a formal Notice of Results within 30ísh days, which provides the formal outcome.
Did you have a formal FCRA dispute, or only a DV?

Great questions... I disputed with the collector, ERC, and once they deleted the accounts from my credit reports I left it alone. The "dispute" was actually a debt validation request sent on May 22, 2014 via certified mail. I just got off of the phone with the company and they stated that they "never received it." which is RUBBISH! I forwarded a copy of the DV to their company E-mail AND a form directly on their website, but they claim they haven't processed the information. I asked them, "What's to process?" It's sent to your company electronically/immediately. Along with forwarding copies of the DV request, I disputed the collection directly with the CRAs yesterday morning. They told me that since I am claiming the account isn't mine that I need to file a police report?
