Equifax Early Exclusion Stories?

Hi all,

I am so close to having all my credit files reporting 0 derogs and I am getting antsy. The last CB reporting a baddie is Equifax. I know they do EE's but have been told and read on multiple forums that it's not worth requesting one because they will screw your file up but I've never seen a first hand account of this actually happening to anyone. I just know from word of mouth is that you don't request one from EQ.

has anyone had a first hand bad experience with requesting an EE through Equifax or can you point me towards another post with someone describing theirs?

I plan to follow the general consensus and wait it out but I just wanted to see everyone's experience.

Re: Equifax Early Exclusion Stories?

@Invictus2905 I bet you are getting antsy being that close to ZERO baddies accross all 3 CB's!!!  While I am not one to practise great patience I too have also read about horror stories regarding EE and Equifax.  From everything I have read, I summize that Equifax typically will EE ~1 month prior to offical fall off date.  For me, when I get to that moment of baddie free, I am going to do my best in that final month to leave things be.  I believe I have read on this forum, in the past, that some have tried utilizing EE on equifax and instead of getting something removed early they had an account with a full blown dispute which naturally looked like a fresh ding when reported shortly after.  Granted, the ding and any point were probably short lived once the baddies eventually fell off organically.  Best wishes & congrats for being so close to a clean credit record!!!  Keep us posted on what you decide!

I am so ready for it! I have waited it out for the last 7 years I can wait another month. Although, if that's what seems to happen with EQ then I may try it because NFCU has been reporting my CO every month for the last 7 years so it won't change much if it reports again lol.

I will keep you posted on how it turns out.
