Hello,
I was just digging around in my Equifax report and clicked on my FICO report and there is something way wrong. Everything in my FICO report is different than all the other 3 bureaus reports. It states that every category is hurting me. It states I have too many late payments-I have no late payments,my dept amount is too high- it's not, I have a year left on my home loan and a credit card I just recently paid off in full, my credit history is too short-it's not it's at 24 years and average at 15 years. I have no inquiries on my file and no public records. I think you get the point. I am absolutely clean but FICO is reporting me as failing in every category. Anybody have any ideas as to how that can be? I tried to file a dispute but it keeps giving me the run around and won't give me the correct option to go into or it is telling me I need to make a contract with the 3 bureaus to open up my report further and pay for the yearly package. I am just confused as to how my FICO report could be so different. And my FICO score is around 30 points lower than the other 3 bureaus. If anybody has any ideas as to why this would be I'd love to hear it.
By FICO report, do you mean the report here at myFICO? Where are you getting the reports that you are comparing with, annualcreditreport.com or somewhere else?
I have an Experian app that I use, it lets me get the 3 credit bureaus reports and I recently went into an area I've never really been into before and it opened up all the ratings for FICO 8 ratings. I thought at first it was a combination of all the bureaus blended together and gave an average or something like that. Kinda new to this digging around in depth and it is so far away from the scoring of the other 3 that it can't be accurate
The first thing you need to do is stop disputing things until you understand what's going on. Disputes at this point at best are wasted effort and at worst could seriously backfire.
Let's start here:
1) What are the FICO 8 scores you're getting from myFICO for each of the 3 bureaus?
2) What are the FICO 8 scores you're getting from Experian for each of the 3 bureaus?
Make a list of your scores and where each one came from.
Once we have this information, we can start to troubleshoot.
So your looking at the experian app. Do you have the paid subscYou found something called fico8 ratings. I don't know what that is.
"and it is so far away from the scoring of the other 3 ..."
What is "it"? What are "the other three"?
You need to quote terms carefully and where they come from, for us to help.
If you're finding variations in scores, quote them specifically, as tu fico8, from somewhere, as if some date. Some variation is normal. My equifax vs3 is 787, eq fico8 809 and eq fico9 850. Even more variance of I include transunion and experian scores.
Ok so I didn't come on here to get drilled into the ground. In my first post I explained (I thought) enough to try to get a little advice. And "the 3" are the 3 credit bureaus, I believe I stated thst. TransUnion equifax experian. I was just wondering why these would say that I have perfect payment history and all that jazz that I explained in the first post and then I click on a spot that says FICO 8 report and it says I'm failing in everything. Like I said I didn't come on here to get treated like crap, it's like you guys are taking everything way too seriously. If I said something to hurt your feelings I'm sorry, not going to go into absolute fine detail. It was just a question maybe somebody had a bit of advice like maybe I was in the wrong place and it was just an example and not to be intended to be taken as fact. So... my bad. Sorry to be new to the point system thing. Holy

Not sure if you're referring to my post or not, but since you addressed "you guys," I'm assuming you are. I said nothing that could even remotely be construed as "treating you like crap." So I don't know what you're talking about.

No, you did not post enough information to begin to toubleshoot the issue you described, which is why I asked you to post more. If you don't want to post more information, that's your prerogative.
Good luck with your issue.
Hiya,
First, please understand that you are reading written text. Written text is often a poor indication of emotion. As a neutral party, I read your comments and theirs and didnt see anything that was attacking you. It's just that when more info can help us to help you, people will often ask you to give more details. That's all that happened here. I know this is a frustrating issue for you--we all have been frustrated by credit issues or else none of us would even be on this forum, lol. But please, try to take a step back for just a moment.
When people asked about who "it" and "the three" were, it was so that they wouldn't misunderstand. The reason for this is because there are several sources out there that do not use FICO scoring--like Credit Karma, Credit Sesame, and so on. They use something called Vantage, which does not give you the same scores as FICO does. No one was trying to attack you, they were just trying to make sure they understood what you had seen and where you saw it, that's all.
I am not personally familiar with the Experian app, I have used myfico(scores and reports) and annualcreditreport(just reports, no scores) myself. What I would do in your situation is compare the identical scores--there are several different FICO scores. The current most commonly used one is FICO 8 for general purposes. There are also different scores for mortgages, credit cards, auto lending, etc through FICO. So, compare your FICO 8 score from the Experian app to the FICO 8 score through myfico. If the numbers are the same, then I would pretty much disregard the Experian explanation that has incorrect info because if they are reporting the same FICO 8 score for you as myfico, then their explanation isn't harming you at all. If the scores are different, then you at least have a starting point to show that something is wrong.
From there, if the Experian app score is different, compare everything that's on the credit report itself to your myfico Experian report. If there's different info reported on the Experian app report, that is where you can start disputing. If the report is identical--no late payments showing, etc etc--but your score isnt identical to the myfico Experian score, then I would contact Experian to find out why their app is showing differently than your actual FICO score.
It may be helpful if you posted screenshots (taking out any personal info) for the conflicting reports so we can help interpret any discrepancies. As others posted, there are several score types and sometimes the description of delinquencies can seem odd based on the wording from the CRAs.
