Fall Off Date Accuracy?

Hi all, continuing my journey here.  A couple questions about fall off dates:

My only CO on Exp is NFCU and on my CR it says expected fall off date is July 2023 - how accurate is this info they list as expected fall off date ? If this is true it should coincide with my PRA settlements and I will have a clean Experian. Should I ask for NFCU early exclusion from Exp?

TU - has an old American Express CO ( DOFD September 2016) which stopped reporting in 2017 but says expected to fall off 03/2021 - Should I dispute this or ask for exclusion?

I paid what I thought made sense, opened secured cards, have flawless payment on my private student loans (12 yrs) bought a house, and if all goes accordingly, may be clean in a couple short months.

What do you all think about asking for exclusion or accuracy of expected fall off dates ?

thanks !

Re: Fall Off Date Accuracy?

@FriendshipSoft hello!

If TU is accurate with the Amex DOFD Sept/2016 this can already be dropped via EE.  You should be able to use the dispute tool online and ask for EE and if that date is in fact correct it should be deleted immediatley.  Also the NFCU if correct should too be ready to EE via Experian as it is w/in the 3 months (?) that i believe they go by.  I am by no means an expert but I have successfully had things dropped early via EE within those time lines.

Can't wait to see the jump in scores once you have all baddies off.  Keep us posted!

For reason of dispute I put "other" and in the comments wrote "asking for early exclusion due to age of account" and it was deleted instantly. The EX fall off date will be accurate.

Re: Fall Off Date Accuracy?

Hit "Other". Type "Too Old" I put on my EE for my BK on TU last week. Gone in seconds and the mails came roaring it that it was deleted. Like @IamWesty12 posted. EX can be next. Has to be a couple days under 3 months out. Leave EQ alone. They mess up boiling water. Smiley Happy

PRA cant report anything after the DoFD is done. So they'll have to hit the trail also.

It will fall when they do their internal update. Just like banks on weekends.

Re: Fall Off Date Accuracy?

I have 2 accounts with experian that showed on record until July 2023. Now that it is July 1 2023 I checked my report to see if they'd fallen off, they have not yet and the on record until July 2023 is no longer there. Not sure why or what to expect now

Another poster in another thread had a similar question. Next internal update will catch it and delete it. Next day it was gone.
