First Premier Bank

I cant express strongly enough how much I dislike them!

Have been paying off old collections and charge offs. This month after paying off 3 collections and 1 charge off, my score dropped over 50 points! I reviewed my report and THOUGHT the only difference was the charge off showing zero and now updating as paid and the collections were gone. Didn't like the score drop, but figured oh well, time will help.

Upon further examination of my reports, I finally noticed the real culprit in my score dropping...First Premier has risen from the dead-

After the charge off in 2016, and not reporting since 2016 on my 2 SECURED accounts with them, they have gone in and updated my report showing 120 days late every month from 2016 to current.

Ive had zero contact with them? Do they stalk credit reports for updates to know things are getting paid and rise up to get their cut? Ughh

Anyone have any tips or tricks to deal with them.....PAID AND DELETED is what I'm hoping for.

Thanks

Re: First Premier Bank

They may have SP'ed your reports and saw you paid other creditors. Ok you got the $ now. Here we come. Your best best is just pay it and get it in the past. Look into the dates of the lates. Once its charged off they cant add lates to it after that date. But FP wont do GW's. It will quit updating once settled or PIF. Then age will have it fall off.

Re: First Premier Bank

First Premier living up to their reputation, I see.

Sorry OP -- that score drop from the updating hurts.   Get them paid as soon as you can so they close out the debt, update to $0 balance, and cease future updates.   As @FireMedic1 mentioned - they will not entertain a Goodwill and will laugh in the face of a PFD offer.  The only way to get a deletion out of them is to prove repeated, innacurate reporting on their part - and even on that basis, with solid proof, it would be fight.

Re: First Premier Bank

Sorry to hear about the decrease. That really sucks. While trying to do my rebuild I’ve realized that same thing. Once some creditors realize you’re paying everyone els, they’ll try to see if they can get paid too. They probably figure that you’re going for a mortgage and may need to get everything straight before you settle. I know that they are looking at my reports, because some of them have my new cell number and I’ve only had this number for a year. I’ve been giving it out only when getting new credit lines. Luckily for me, I’ve had a couple of them to call before they added a collection to my crs. I offered to pay if they didn’t add it and paid as soon as they agreed. Keep pushing with your rebuild and don’t let them stop you.

Re: First Premier Bank

These accounts are from 2014 and probably ran out of SOL in your state. I am sure they would be willing to make a settlement. . These accounts are almost 6 years old and soon should be falling off the report any way.
