Hi everyone!
So, as most people browsing this board, I'm in the process of rebuilding my credit and am dealing with two FP charge offs. This week, I settled one of them with a collection agency, and the other with First Premier directly after getting the run around with the second agency and forcing them to take payment (which I didn't know I could do). Now, back as early as April, I sent them a 623 dispute regarding inconsistent reporting via e-mail, in which I received a response asking for my updated address. Fast forward, I received some statements. After doing more research it seems like that isn't sufficient validation? Either way, I disputed with the CRAs and sent FP a letter back saying "These don't constitute validation", to which I received a response yesterday with a deletion of another, apparently ghost FP tradeline that's been reporting positively for the last few years. Thing is, I haven't had an open account with FP. So I don't know where that tradeline came from.
More importantly, though, considering that I referenced the last four of account numbers, and account history specifically in my direct disputes, does this deletion of an unrelated, undisputed tradeline qualify as a satisfactory response? How do I move forward? They still haven't addressed my primary complaint.
I sent another 623 e-mail today, after receiving the deletion letter and I'd like to CMRRR something back in response to this, but I'm at a loss as to how I should craft a response.
HELP!
Anyone? :/
It was an account I'd never opened that was listed as open for a few years. It's now deleted, but wasn't the focus on my dispute anyway.
