GE inquiry removed!

I have had many successes with removing many things from my credit report thanks to the knowledgable folks at Myfico (refer to "my success so far") I was hitting a wall with getting inquiry's removed until I opened the mail to a letter from GE that they are removing an inquiry. I was extatic. I had to re-read the letter again and again just to soak up all my accomplishments.. Thanks to everyone for your help.

Re: GE inquiry removed!

Sent letters simultaneously to each credit bureau, TU,EX and EQ, AND to GE : the credit inquiry named such and such is damaging my credit file. Provide full documentation regarding the circumstances surrounding your release of my credit report ss#, pursuant to the permissible purpose provisions of the fair credit reporting act. The inquiry was placed on my consumer file on this date: if you can not provide such documentation, you are obligated to remove the offending inquiry at once. Sincerely me. To the creditor: why does this hard inquiry appear on my credit file with (EX TU or EQ) ss#? Aren't you aware that you must abide by the permissible purpose of the FairCredit Reporting Act? Prove to me that the inclusion of this inquiry complies with the federal law, or remove it now. Sincerely me I found that this particular removal was a hand written letter. Every other failed attempt was typed. Keep in mind that I sent maybe 20 letters for 1 removal. Inquiry's are the most difficult to remove but it can't hurt trying.

Expect FAs. Also there are a couple examples in here of an inquiry dispute resulting in the TL's closure. The logic is either it is yours or not. If not yours, then you are a victim of ID theft.
