I recently paid in full (July 2019) a charge-off with Cap1 from 2017. It didnt report a $0 balance to the credit bureaus until Aug 2019.
Does anyone know how long it takes to get back in with Cap1? I recently applied (Sept 2019) and it says denied due to previous or current delinquent account. Are their internal records still not updated?
I owed them almost $4,000 on one card and $140 on another. Both charged-off accounts. They were charged-off in 2016. The small one went to collections either right before they approved me for the Platinum card 8/18 or afterwards. But once they approved me, I got busy and paid off the collection one and then called up Cap One and set up a payment plan for the other. Six months later, while still owing a lot on the $3966 charge-off, but paying down, they approved me for a $1,000 QuicksilverOne. and I also was approved for a car loan from them. I still owe them, but it's getting closer to being paid off.
So just keep checking. Sooner or later they will let you in. They let me in when I owed them.

It varies for each person, usually within a year or two, sometimes sooner, sometimes later
While they are quite "forgiving", it doesn't happen next day, hence the reference to *previous delinquent account*
Check prequalification page before applying in the future. It's fairly accurate
Stated policy is minimum 1 year from the previous account being COed, sounds like they didnt get it all updated. I would try again in October or November.
