I am again going to try and get two accounts that were IIB simply for being in am open status at the time. Both are from WFNNB. They were my oldest CL's. Both were 0 balances and always paid on time.
My last attempt ended with them sending me a letter confirming the accounts were paid in full prior to BK.
I would love to have these just changed to Paid in Full - not deleted from my CR.
So what would be my best route - I know they only keep records for 2 years (since I had other paid closed accounts that they had no record of since they had been closed by consumer a few years prior).
Any suggestions on next steps. I keep revisting this topic about every 6 months. My 2 years are almost up.
Let me see if I understand this correctly.
2 accounts with WFNNB were marked IIB on your CR's,correct?
You have a letter, stating these were PIF prior to BK.
I would think you could send a copy of this letter, to the CRA's to see if they would remove the IIB's.
If the consumer chose to include those accounts in the BK discharge, such as to anticipate any future claims of debt not currently reported, I see no authority for the CRA to independently hold that the accounts were not included in the BK discharge. There is no error in their reporting.
I realize that the error was mine for being naive and not thinking ahead of time of "closing" two accounts that had 0 balances and were not being actively used. I understand thats how they became listed as IIB. WFNNB did send me a letter stating they were paid in full prior to BK. My own personal error here was not calling them once paid and closing them.
Sure I could send that letter to the credit agencies - and after two years WFNNB won't have any records to dispute. But that is not my point.
My intention is to see if I further goodwill WFNNB to just take pity on me and change the accounts back to paid as agreed - closed my creditor. That would be my dream! Like I said these were my two oldest accounts and both had excellent history. It would go along way to have those back on my "side".
Either way I have an auto loan, student loan and two credit cards rebuilding for me.
I did not "choose" to have them included. They were not on the BK schedule!
