Got my response from Northland Group

I got my response from Northland Group, who collected my settlement for LVNV Funding. I've sent letters to all addresses I have found on the board here for LVNV Funding. Here is the response. I guess I need everything contact known for Resurgent for a GW delete. Also, what does he mean by a letter of release?? His first reply to my initial GW email was to ok emailing account information, I said yes.

A letter of release has been mailed to you which you should receive in a few days. As far as the credit reporting goes, that is nothing that we handle here as we do not directly report to the credit bureaus, that is handled by our client Resurgent Capital Services, LP. They are the ones who owned this account. If you would like to contact them in regards to the credit reporting, you may contact them at 1-888-665-0374.

Leah,

CA will settle "on behalf of the O/C or other CA". That's why it is important to have a PFD clause in the settlement agreement.

Norhland is correct about the CRA and I assume they do not report on top of the JDB LVNV Funding.

It's now up to LVNV to go the extra distance and delete, since they have no incentive to do so as you have already paid your settlement.

But contact them, see where the wind blows.

Ok, thank you. I got the settlement offer right before Thanksgiving, did the three payments, and had it paid accordingly before the new year. I didn't find this board until a few weeks ago. I've been trying to send GW's to everyone I thought could access this account. Since LVNV went ahead and updated my report after I paid Northland Group, I figured maybe they could access it as well. We will see. Thank you. Just his response tonight in the email threw me off a bit.
