HELP!

So, I sent the Pre-HIPAA letter to the CRAs on 2/5. As of today, the usps.com tracking indicated one (for Equifax) never left my city. Went to post office this morning, and they cannot find the letter (which has my ssn in it...grrrr....). They asked me to call the recipient and see if they rcvd it. I checked EQ CR online just now and that account does not show investigation or dispute status, unlike the other 3 I PRE-HIPAAed the same way, same day.

So, I gather this means they never got the letter. Somewhere on here I recall someone saying never contact the CRA while a dispute is in process.

Any advice? Should I call them and see if they got the letter, or should I assume because there is no dispute status indicated that they did not?

Guess I need to send it again, which will probably reset their time window to investgate the others... grrrrr to the mail delivery.

Re: HELP!

If you sent the other disputes on 2/5, when did they receive them? They should be close to that 30 day mark.

Were all of them going to EQ?

Re: HELP!

EQ got the other three on 2/23 (there were 4 paid medical collections)...what do you mean by the 30 day mark?

Should I call them or wait until after 3/24 to call/resend?

Thanks!

Re: HELP!

I was thinking if you mailed on 2/5, they would have received within a few days and the 30 day mark they have for investigating.

I had a CMRRR that once said it hadn't left the PO when I tracked online, then received the green card back signed the day after I mailed a new one.

I would wait until after these investigations are over and call EQ to see if they received or not.

I have an account that I disputed on 2/20 online and it still isn't marked as in dispute, even though CSC(I don't deal with them instead of EQ) states it is being investigated.
