Okay please ignore my ignorance, as although I have been a member for a while, I have been lax in watching my credit since I was approved for a mortgage, and it is now costing me dearly. I used to have an HSBC cc with a $300 limit, that was converted to Capital One sometime last year. They never sent me a new card, and I never use the card, I've just kept up with her for length of credit reporting only. Last year they assessed the yearly membership fee, (which I totally forgot about) and didn't contact me until the end of February to let me know my account was past due. I am now showing with a 60+ day late which has dropped my score by almost 100 points on all three credit bureaus. I haven't had a late payment in probably 7 years now, and am devasted at what I have done to myself. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can plead with Capital One to remove the late payment?
Thanks

Have you contacted Cap1 and asked them to do a GW adjustment?
Typically, Cap 1 does not do GW adjustments as policy. However, if you never received your new card, there's always the possibility you could get something done. You definitely need to reach out to the EO office, not the normal support line.
