HSBC bites.....

So i sent a series of GW letters to HSBC via fax and email with no success. About an hour ago I recieved a phone call from the executive resolution team saying that it is illegal to stop reporting a tradeline on my credit report. I explained to him that it is a violation to report inaccurate information but that they are not required to report a TL on my credit report. After a few minutes of discussion, he refused to remove it. My question is, what next? Has anyone had success getting HSBC to grant a GW request? If so, what means did you use? Email, fax, snail mail? Also, what was the gist of the letter you provided?

Re: HSBC bites.....

Can I ask what you are trying to have removed? Is it a late or a CO? I had luck getting two 30 day lates removed from an HSBC card. I sent GW letters to 6 different addresses once a week. The first two weeks, I had no luck and got letters back saying they were reporting correctly etc. The third week, the letters came back saying they were reporting no lates. I think they got tired of the letters...

Re: HSBC bites.....

Here are the HSBC addresses I used to get two 30 day lates removed. I found them on this site in previous posts. I sent out 6 letters a week (one to each address) and after 3 rounds of letters they were deleted. I'm not sure which addresses actually worked, all the responses I got back came from the same return address. Good luck!

I'm trying to have a charge-off removed. I need a new car and want to try to qualify myself for a USDA loan. My total CC utilization is only 1%, so I figured the best way to see a large score jump would be to get rid of some the derogatories on my report. I guess I'm going to try writting weekly letters to the addresses and continue with my emails until someone removes it.
