I burned US Bank back in early 2017. This is probably the last year that it will show on my credit report. I do have more than enough money to repay the debt now however I am saving it for other necessary things. If I called and got on a monthly payment plan, once it's paid would I be off their blacklist? Would calling the credit department for US Bank even help? Has anyone successfully gotten off US Bank's credit card blacklist? I am searching forum threads and cannot find anything.
If US Bank still owns the debt, you should be able to make a payment plan. Paying them back will get you off the BL but you are still subject to their credit approval process when applying for new credit with them.
I spoke with a rep named Tiffany from US Bank cardmember services yesterday and she said that she's worked here for 4 years and never heard of a blacklist or that I could ever be denied another credit card with them. She said that with a pleasing tone in her voice and seemed lighthearted when that was brought up. But she said that nobody else could tell me more info on that, that they wouldn't know anything more than what she knew. Pulling the trigger would really be the only way to find out but I'm not ready for another HP just yet. I don't want unnecessary inquiries in my CRs so time will tell I guess.
Back in August of 2018, almost a year after CO status, there was a HP from US Bank back when I had a checking account with them for a reserve line for a backup overdraft protection but I don't remember the denial reason. I think it just stated that I had a serious delinquency on the record, not previous unsatisfactory relationship so maybe there really isn't a BL.

I am still on their blacklist from 2017 as well. I even tried a secured card but got denied as well. For some reason most customer service reps do not acknowledge the blacklist. Same thing is happening with Discover and their customer reps deny it.
